JAPAN VISA

If you are a Filipino residing in Dubai and interested in visiting Japan, here are the essential checklist and make sure it’s complete to avoid getting denied. It is effortless as long as all the requirements are complete:

  1. PASSPORT
  • your passport should have more than two blank visa pages and with six months validity
  • copy of passport ( including the UAE Residence Visa Page )

2. VISA APPLICATION FORM

  • Download the link to the application form
  • Make sure to fill up correctly and consistent to your other documents.

3. PHOTO

  • One recent clear photo taken within 6 months with a white background with size 2in X2in. Paste the picture in the application form.
  • Do not use any staple wires.

4. COPY OF FLIGHT BOOKING CONFIRMATION

  • I bought my ticket already for this trip, but there are other options too like the so-called dummy ticket. Just ask any travel agency to assist you as I haven’t tried this one yet.

5.COPY OF ACCOMMODATION CONFIRMATION

  • I booked my accommodation through booking.com and make sure there is a free cancellation just in case you want to change your accommodation at the later part. Credit card is needed for this, if you don’t have one then ask for any travel agency assistance.

6. SCHEDULE OF STAY OR TRAVEL ITINERARY

  • Below is a sample of the schedule of stay. The most important is it will sync in your accommodation, your flight information, or any related movements.
  • JAPAN SCHED OF STAY

7.CERTIFICATE OF EMPLOYMENT

  • The position, monthly salary and leave period should be stated in the letter

8. BANK STATEMENT

  • A 3-month bank statement is needed, and it should show your financial capacity during your stay in Japan. It will vary on how long you will stay but make sure to at least calculate your expenses and that amount should at least be present in your bank statement.

9. PROOF OF CURRENT ADDRESS

  • Any phone landline bills, water and electricity bills, etc…

WHERE TO APPLY?

  • You can apply for your visa at the Consulate General of Japan in Sheikh Rashid Building 28th Dubai World Trade Center. The visa application is from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and for the visa collection it is from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
  • Once you reached the consulate, you will get your priority number and wait for your number to be called. The person in charge will ask you a few questions so make sure you are very familiar with all the information you wrote on your documents: Here are some questions and make sure you are ready and relaxed:
    1. How many years are you here in Dubai?
    2. What is your job here in Dubai?
    3. Where are you going to Japan?
    4. What Japanese food do you like to eat?
    5. Where are you going to Osaka? ( She asked Osaka because I put Osaka in my Itinerary. So be familiar with the places in Osaka )
    6. Are you going to be traveling alone?
  • After all the questions, they will give you the receipt with the date when to collect your passport.
  • I got my visa without any fees and after 4days!!!! So fast and easy! Hope you will get it too!!! 🙂

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER…

  1. Travel Light – bring only what you need because you will be climbing stairs a lot. Riding a taxi is the last option there because it is costly.
  2. Wear comfortable shoes, not wedges nor high heels. Fashion is painful if you will not listen to my advise.
  3. Have a healthy meal every day 🙂
